What about Hotel Majestic? The Hotel of the president of Catalonia.

Recently in the elections for the president of Catalonia ; the government have the center of press, in Hotel Majestic. 

Now we know that CIU have to select partners to make a new goverment. The catalonian press and the spanish press think that may be selected the independentist group ERC or PSC. But this post is not about political situation of Catalonia; this post is about the life in Barcelona.

And this event, gives us a interest about this hotel, and its architecture.

Hotel Majestic in Barcelona is a historic, major hotel located on the Passeig the Gracia in the Eixample district. It is located not far from Gaudi's La Pedrera and about one kilometre from Les Rambles.

It has existed as a hotel for more than 90 years and is currently owned by the Soldevila family. Opened as a hotel since 1918, it was originally called Majestic Hotel Inglaterra and was renamed in 1940 as for its' better known name Hotel Majestic.
